I had sold a condo that I was using as an investment property. In order to avoid paying depreciation taxes on it I'd used a 1031 exchange. I feel kind of silly putting 5 stars on everything, but thinking about it, that's what John gets. I'm 62 and have bought and sold a few places over the years, and using John was just a smooth and stress-less experience. We sold a condo in a hot market that was complicated by my needing John to assist the existing tenant to find alternative housing, which was a new one for both of us. But that is the kind of situational responsiveness that John was able to provide. He helped us do just the right amount of fix-up, and timed things so that we effectively had people bidding up the price (which I thought was an aggressive price to start with), yielding an extra 8%, a clear case of 'glad I had a professional' handling the negotiations--I was away skiing for the week and just had to get on the phone one night to wrap it up. Enough said, real estate selling can be a pain, but John made it low effort and something to look forward to.

When I was offered a new position on the Western Slope I immediately thought of John to list my home. John worked with the relocation company (package deal with the new job) and ultimately found buyers for my house with a full price offer in less than 30 days. I had a few last-minute projects to finish before my house was ready to go on the market. John helped me decide what improvements would return the most $$ and what projects I should reconsider. We talked about how to make the house look fresh & new for new buyers so they can picture themselves in the house. In the end I had the house painted inside and out, replaced the carpets and refinished the hardwood floors. The house looked great! John had to detail directly with my relocation agency making it easy for me to focus on the move. John did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone who is selling their home.

As a first-time homebuyer, working with John was an extremely pleasant experience. Prior to working with John, many agents pushily attempted to work with me as I toured various properties; they were unprofessional, often late to showings, and communicated poorly. John is none of these things. He is polite, well-versed in the market, and was supremely helpful, providing a thorough timeline as to what needed to happen in order for my home purchase to complete. He went through every contract and document I had to sign without hesitation and frequently checked in with me to ensure a smooth transaction. I would certainly work with him again and recommend him to friends and family without hesitation.
